Description

MCDB media (No Phenol Red) were developed for the culture of specific cell types without a serum supplement. The media were supplemented with growth factors, hormones, trace elements, or low levels of dialyzed fetal bovine serum protein (FBSP). Each MCDB medium (No Phenol Red) was formulated for specific cell type. MCDB 131 medium (No Phenol Red) was originally developed for the clonal growth of human and animal micro-vascular endothelial cells.

D-glucose 1000mg/L

Storage Condition:  Store the basal medium at 2-8°C. Protect from light.

Note: To assure sterility after 2 weeks or if there is concern that sterility was compromised during the supplementation process, the prepared medium may be refiltered with a 0.2 um filter.
