Product Description

C57BL/6 Mouse Liver Kupffer Cells are derived from the liver of pathogen-free laboratory adult mice. Cells are grown in tissue culture flasks and incubated in Cell Biologics’ Cell Culture Medium for 1-2 days. Live Cells in a multiwell culture plate are shipped and ready for experiments under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Primary Liver Kupffer Cells can not be cultured indefinitely and can not be passaged.

Laboratory Applications

C57BL/6 Mouse Liver Kupffer Cells can be used in standard biochemical procedures include PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, ROS, or cell derivatives for desired research applications.

Primary Liver Kupffer Cell Culture Protocol

All cell culture procedures must be conducted in a bio-safety cabinet.

Any and all media, supplements, and reagents must be sterilized by filtration through a 0.2 µm filter.

Use aseptic technique to prevent microbial contamination.

Medium

Review the information provided on the Cell Biologics website about appropriate culture media (e.g. serum and other supplements). Use pre-warmed (37°C) cell culture media (30-50 ML, Catalog No. M3368) to seed cells and when changing media.

Handling of Arriving Live Cells

Live Cells at passage 0 in a culture plate or flask are shipped overnight. When you receive the live cells in a plate or flask, keep the plate or flask with suggested medium volumn in 37°C CO² incubator for 1 hour before replacing the desired Cell Biologics' cell culture medium.

Note: A recommended media volume for culture dishes, plates and flasks:

6-well plate: Use 2 ml medium per well;

12-well plate: Use 0.5 ml medium per well;

96-well: Use 100 ul medium per well;

Cells in T25 flask; Use 5ml medium;

Cells in T75 flask: Use 10 ml medium
