Research Laboratory Assistant, Entry-Level
We are looking for a reliable individual to join our lab. The Entry-Level Laboratory Assistant under direct supervision, will perform general laboratory and office work, assist with customer phone calls and emails, along with doing the data entry.
Job Qualifications:
· Data entry, Typing Speed between 50-70 WPM.
· Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, (knowledge of QuickBooks preferred).
· Detail-oriented, Strong organizational skills.
· Good communication.
· Answering Customer Phones.
· Writing & Managing Emails.
· Packing Packages.
Laboratory Responsibilities:
· Culture and test primary cells under direct supervision.
· Maintain cell inventories of frozen cell stock in Liquid Nitrogen Tanks and record.
· Assist with ordering lab supplies and maintaining laboratory stock and inventories.
· Do other laboratory organization and general laboratory management as delegated.
· Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, or life science is required.
Cell Culture Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and motivated senior research specialist. This position involves rodent studies and the culturing of cells to increase the company’s product offerings. Also required is the ability to implement new and existing methods/techniques to generate cells and test them to ensure cell culture quality control.
Primary Responsibilities
· Maintain mouse strains. Perform complex in vivo and in vitro experiments using mice and cell lines.
· Perform laboratory experiments using biochemical and molecular biology approaches (including PCR, immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, and flow cytometry).
· Collaborate with scientific team to culture and test cells.
· Maintain cell inventories of frozen cell stock in Liquid Nitrogen Tanks for culture and long-term storage.
· Assist with ordering lab supplies and maintaining laboratory stock and inventories.
· Aid in the implementation of general laboratory maintenance protocols. Maintain comprehensive laboratory protocols and records of results.
· Other laboratory organization and general laboratory management as delegated.
· Minimum Qualifications
· Data entry, Typing Speed between 50-70 WPM. Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, (knowledge of QuickBooks preferred). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
· Candidates must have 1-2 years of previous cell culture experience. Experience in cell culture and mouse surgery procedure is considered a plus, but enthusiastic and driven starters are also welcome.
· Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology or an equivalent field is required.
Research Laboratory Postdoc and Scientists
We are hiring a reliable laboratory Postdoc with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. This person will be under direct supervision to assist with cell culture, maintenance of tank cells, and small animal procedures, along with performing other general lab work, including:
· Maintain mouse strains. Perform complex in vivo and in vitro experiments using mice and cell lines. Maintain comprehensive laboratory protocols and records of results.
· Perform laboratory experiments using biochemical and molecular biology approaches (including PCR, immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, and flow cytometry).
· Analyzing research outcomes, contributing to writing manuscripts, grants and other related documents based on research findings. Monitor research grants expenditures.
· Write annual progress reports required for each funded grant per deadline. Work with the grants office in reconciling all budgets.
· Assist in the preparation of new and competitive renewal grants for effective submission. Renew and keep current all experimental animal and human subject protocols.
Qualifications:
· MS and PhD in Biology preferred. Degree in Biology, molecular biology, life science must,
· Strong writing skills, sound communication skills, and ability to deal with and handle complex issues.
· Willingness to work weekends and late hours when needed.
