Storage of Cell Biologics’ Products
Storage of Cell Biologics’ Products
- Cell Biologics will ship frozen cells on dry ice. On receipt, immediately transfer frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180°C) until ready for experimental use. If the cells thaw, they will not function for any experimental purposes.
- Primary cells should never be kept at -20 °C or -80°C.
- THE CELLS AND CELL CULTURE MEDIUM KITS MUST BE KEPT IN A BOX WITH ENOUGH DRY ICE ALL THE TIMES DURING SHIPMENT.
- Please make sure there is enough dry ice in the box with cells and cell culture medium-kits. You may need to refill with dry ice before sending cell products to customers. Cells must be shipped with plenty of dry ice to ensure it arrives still frozen at destination.
- In case if there is no dry ice on hand for temporary storage, the cells can be kept in -80 °C for two or three days (for a weekend).
- The medium kits can be kept in -20 °C for months.
Thank You!
